Southbridge Wine Club 1 2012-2013 Wine Events

We are now entering our 6th year together as Southbridge Wine Club 1!!! Each year we tweak the rules just a little to suit everyone’s tastes. This year is no different. At our last get together everyone voted on a few slight changes.  The biggest change will be that instead of having a big bottle at every month’s event, we will have big bottle night.  All of us will bring our best wine to compare on the same night. Get ready for another year of fun and learning!
  1. Members bring a wine in the area of $15-30. Please do a little research on your wine and be ready to present to the group.
  2. The host will research the theme and present some info at the beginning of the evening. As a host you decide what type of foods to share but remember the focus is the WINE. If it will be a light fruit and cheese night, or a gourmet spread it is totally up to you. It would be helpful on the invitation if you would let members know in advance if they should eat before the event of if they should arrive with voracious appetites!
  3. Blind Tasting will be in September as always and will be based on the wines we tasted during the year.
  4. BIG BOTTLE BONUS MONTH IS DECEMBER. December is a tricky month. Some would love to host…others not so much. You will have the option of putting your name in a second drawing to host in December.
